It gets really busy especially on weekends
Find anything from cheese to tea to pies etc etc
I was told that if I wanted to stock up on gravy packs and instant food mixes, it is cheaper in Australia. Each gravy pack averages AUD$1-2 and an instant mix of say risotta costs AUD$6. Not too bad I must say. So I bought just a few to try it out - I am still a firm believer of cooking from fresh ingredients :)
If you live in Melbourne, the
Queen Victoria Market is an excellent place to buy fresh ingredients and produce. It is bustling with activity from early morning. You can also buy items like Ugg boots, nougat, souvenirs and wine. On our last day in Melbourne, we drove over for breakfast and spent some time walking around.
One thing good about Australia, especially in Melbourne, is that there are a fair number of Asians living there so you never feel quite out of place most of the time.
