One part of my job involves retail visits. Heh. I do enjoy it although it does get a little tiring after going into countless shops and driving and walking around.
I love visiting retail shops overseas to see how different the merchandizing is done, the service levels and layouts. We have heard a lot about the standard of the retail stores in Melbourne and we were excited to check them out. I have to admit, there is a lot that we can learn from!
One of our stops was the Chadstone shopping centre. It is pretty massive and houses a wide variety of brands. Our first visit was to the cafe for breakfast :P
I love the architecture of the mall. Glass ceilings so the sunlight streams right through during the day making the mall all bright and cheery. It also gave us an excuse to wear our shades whilst having breakfast which was by the way, excellent.
Later on in the week, a few of us swung by the mall once again for dinner, some eating and shopping and to run a very important errand :) If I visit Melbourne again, I am quite sure that I will make an effort to drop by Chadstone again. Oh. They have a T2 outlet as well.
