I got into this argument with this guy that owns a restaurant chain and sings in a blues band in Shanghai because he discounted Chicago as a non-international city. He commented, people from Helsinki or Paris probably don't even know about Chicago because it's not LA or New York. Some kid on the China trip actually agreed.

Who gives a shit ? So what, a city only matters if some completely ignorant freak across the world knows about it ?

Morons.

I stand by Chicago, heart and soul.

Especially the lakefront bike path, overpriced restaurants, and leafy green streets (at least in Hyde Park)
