[He's doing something. When is he not. The last time these people started showing up, Rose came back for a little while. So many people have showed up between now and then and he's not sure he knows what he feels like now that it's happening again. So he's going to sit and keep working and pretend like he doesn't notice, even though he's actually ( Read more... )

Yes! [She is more than a little pleased you remembered.] And I'm sure they don't make a habit of forgetting you.

[He remembers everyone. Mostly. With at least a bit of memory jogging on occasion.] I am fairly unforgettable. I think frequently because there's a slew of events that are also unforgettable, but I'm claiming the majority reason regardless.

And well you should!

So, where were we last time? I'm pretty sure we talked about gingerness and TARDIS love and you almost pretty much agreed to take me on as a companion someday.

Sounds about right to me. Good things to talk about. How's your... stuff, been going? You have stuff.

The companioning might have to be put off a bit longer though. Complications arose, are ensuing, haven't quite been overcome.

Stuff's good! I've been taking on some freelance editing work since I saw you last, which is cool because I want to be a writer someday and it's, y'know, experience.

Complications happen! It's cool, I can wait as long at it takes.

Oh yeah? What sort of writing? Fiction, non-fiction, outer-space action-adventure, a timely classic, comic books, newspaper periodicals, murder mysteries, really there's so many I'm not sure even I can list them all, and that is saying something.

Fiction, mostly-- I'm kind of into urban fantasy these days. I'm mostly interested in writing novels, but comic books or television would be cool, too. Mostly I just like stories.

[He nods once or twice, thinking about those categories.] Not bad, not bad. Stories are some of the greatest things in the universe! Old and exciting and new and curious and all sorts. Always need another good storyteller.

Well, I hope I can be a good one. [Giggling~] When you come to get me, I'll write our stories, too. And no one will believe how true they actually are.

I find that happens to me quite often, actually. Can't imagine why. Guess the real thing always seems more fantastic than the story anyway.

Well, when you've got a life like yours, I guess the stranger-than-fiction stuff is pretty commonplace.
