My oldest daughter was checked for a B12 deficiency just today. For some reason this makes the story creepier, even though that isn't an important part of the story, of course.
I loved the list of John's smiles, and I adore the annotation idea.

So sorry for the extra creep with the B12. Huh, what a strange coincidence.
This story for me is a chance to play around with visual story telling I wouldn't dare to use on a "regular" story. It's so much fun, though. I really liked the insane annotations in House of Leaves. They're great fun :)
