I am a hopeless geek

I'm sure the fact that I am a geek is no surprise to anyone who knows me, but now there's even more proof. I went to Comic Con in Chicago yesterday. I got some fun autographs, including having Paul McGillion sign a photo from last year's Chicago Stargate Con. It was nice to have more time to talk to people while getting autographs. While I was sad that Patrick Stewart canceled, his son was very nice (and very nice-looking, too ) and was even signing his father's signature...not a bad copy either. Of course, there is a note on it that it is fake, not that I would ever try passing it off as real. Heck, I have plans to keep it as a nice memory for some time.

On the less geeky side, at least I wasn't in costume (cool though they were) or going nuts over comics. Enjoying comics is okay, but I don't understand the passion some people have with them. OTOH, I'm sure I do things others don't understand.

I am very sad to have learned that Jason Momoa is not coming to the Stargate Con next week. I was looking forward to getting my picture taken with three very good looking men, but now it's down to two. I was looking forward to seeing if he looks as good in person, too. Perhaps another time.

geekness, sga
