"Hello Omega," he replied, making sure the puzzle box was unsolved. "I brought you this. It's an Alzarian puzzle box. It's harder than any Earth puzzle, and most Gallifreyan puzzles." He'd even read up on Gallifreyan puzzles to confirm that before the meeting. "I was thinking you should be doing something to keep busy, though. Other than puzzles I give you or meeting with me. I was thinking somewhere like the infirmary or the library."
"All right! I'm under the impression that the labs work by having a specific research project, so what would you like to work on? Or would you like me to just see if any projects currently need anyone?"
"All right, we should go up there once we're done talking about things and see what they have. Although, I did have something else I wanted to talk to you about. I was wondering..." Now, how to bring this up without bothering Omega. "The Doctor in your head, has he been...vocal lately?"
"I'm just hoping he hasn't, is all. I think it would be easier for you to sort out your thoughts if your thoughts were the only ones you had to deal with."
The Doctor was wonderful, Adric could attest to that, but the point of redemption was to have Omega do the right thing because that's what he'd do, not because the Doctor was in his head. Besides, there were already plenty of Doctors on the ship.

Adric, in all his obliviousness, actually did notice that this conversation was bothering Omega.
