It's not a large island, by any stretch of the imagination: you could walk around it in half an hour if not for the occasional rocky out crop in the way.
There's evidence of human presence at one point in time - derelict boats lie beached and partially submerged here and there along a shore that suggests either low tide or significant changes to the sea level. A concrete wharf juts out from the base of a cliff base where a couple of small dilapidated office and warehouse buildings lie.
Not too far along the beach, more recent developments include a high-standing lookout tower on the waterfront with a long walkway supported my pillars connecting it to the sloping inland, a dark metal construction standing out starkly against it's more natural surroundings, two spotlights panning the sand.
And in the central area, no less a conspicuous landmark stands a pylon structure with blue energy flaring along the upward spire.
The sky is cloudy, the sun is low on the horizon and there's a cool salty ocean breeze.
