Snow and Christmas

Originally uploaded by Laughter317. So we finally got some snow on the 16 of December. It made everything really, really pretty. Meghan and I were walking home from the movie theater and it just started coming down in HUGE flakes. A while later I thought it had stopped but when I looked outside around 11:30 everything was covered and it was still snowing. I tried getting someone to come play in it with me but no one would so I went out by myself and took some pictures. It stuck around for 2 or 3 days but all melted before Christmas so no White Christmas here...oh well.
Christmas Party 1
Originally uploaded by Laughter317. On Friday we had a Christmas party for all the kindergarteners. It was really fun. The kids got to see Santa and got presents from him. We watched a couple Christmas cartoons, sang songs and made a Christmas card. The kids really enjoyed it and they all looked so cute sitting on Santa's lap.
I managed to survive my first Christmas away from home. It was kinda lonely and it didn't entirely feel like Christmas since I didn't have any presents to open. But it ended up being a pretty good day. I went to lunch with a friend and he brought me candy to cheer me up since my box hadn't come. Then in the evening a few people came over and we had a semi-traditional Christmas dinner...chicken instead of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, salad and rolls. It was good. We watched The Family Stone which was a great way to end the day. I've decided that I'm leaving my tree up until my presents arrive and then I can have my own little second Christmas. I hope they get here soon.
