Exciting news in the business world. Today I got another job that won't start until after tour. Not only am I the longest running barista at From the Ground Up Wisconsin Rapids(soon with tattoo to prove it, a number of housecleaning jobs(all of which are random, but $10 an hour), but now I can also count myself a proud/sweaty warehouse worker for that company we all wondered about as children. Remember those bricks you used in preschool to build forts that were bright red/blue/yellow? Ever curious about where they came from? Well, I now know that a group of sweaty young girls spends their mornings ripping, stacking, boxing, taping, all of those forts. The other girls don't seem to like it so much, but I kind of like the idea of being the supplier of forts. My supercool friend Tara got me the job...and August 15 I will begin working 50+ hour weeks until I move to London. In the more immediate future is Park Rock, August 6th....in Wisconsin Rapids at Robinson Park...if humanly possible...everyone should go, and afterwards I am off with Nobody's Housewife on tour, as their temporary singer, permanent friend, merch producer, and manager(that's what Mary said to say). I am ready to get out of this town again...even though it has just been a week since being stranded in New Jersey(which wasn't as bad as the connotation of the word stranded might imply). Maybe if I had a place to live that I felt welcome at it wouldn't be so bad...but there is always the chance of being kicked out where I am now. At least I can't be kicked out while everyone is camping and while I'm on tour. Stay tuned to see if Park Rock rocked, if tour was amazing, and if yours truly has a place to live upon returning to the central part of my favorite state Wisconsin.
