i was just out on the deck when the cat came up and started begging for love. so i picked her up and stared off into space, petting her for a while.

it made me realize how much i want to hold babies.

and it's a lot.

I thought this was going to turn into a story where you picked her up and realized she had rabies, or fleas or....something weird, fatal and chronic.
