Drama reality check
I don't know about anyone else, but I enjoy good 3 way love triangle drama once in a while. Usually I watched these kinds of dramas with a mixture of jealousy, nausea and frustration.
I feel jealousy towards the main girl of the story, cause heck, who wouldn't want to have two hot (well okay most of the time hot) guys fighting over oneself? We're chicks after all! We feed off the attention :P.
But lately I've been seeing a more realistic side to this 3 way love. It would really suck to be suck in the kinds of situations these dramas depict. Granted they make great entertainment, but if you really were the one stuck in the middle of this 3 way love and the only one you had eyes for was the guy that doesn't appreciate you and in the mean while some annoying person is chasing after you with puppy eyes that border on being a bit psycho, I don't think that would be 'entertaining' for yourself. heh.
Neasea would be for the excess of sappiness these types of dramas can overflow with. I mean... geeez, I'm a girl and even I want to throw up sometimes. *rolls eyes*.
Frustration. I ALWAYS almost without fail, fall for the 'guy that never gets the girl'. And I never understand WHY they can't get the girl. Often times they're the more practical choice. Smart, good job, probably from a rich family, stability. WHAT'S WRONG WITH A GUY LIKE THAT? Now, I could understand it if they were a bit 'boring', but most of the time these supporting characters are rakes and playboys that reform after meeting 'the girl'. What better husband could there be then a reformed rake/player?! Definitely wouldn't be boring
... and since they're reformed.. they see only you. *faints*
Yeeeesh... I'd like to see just one good drama where the supporting guy gets the girl... while the main guy ends up with 'the bitch that tires to win him away from the main girl'.
