*stretch* i'm so lazy...i just woke up. :)

i remembeer HAVING good dreams last night, i just don't remember what they were. i remember feeling happy lovey feelings in them, but i don't remember anything else. i wish i did. i love good dreams.

last night was the best. so much fun! it was, like, grown-up fun, not stupid college fun, too, so it made me really happy.

but to be honest, grown-up fun is not that much different. just better conversation, better drinks, better food, cigars, better music, and a beautiful place in which to have the fun. (which would be 1616 walnut street on the 24th and 25th floors and the terrace looking out over the most beautiful view of philadelphia in the whole entire world. i remember when i first got there, i told melissa that i would seduce a boy that night specifically so that i could bring him up there and have a romantic moment, even if i never saw him again, simply because it was the most romantic place in the whole entire world. i swear, it was something out of a movie.

jackie, rachel, and i joined the old boys club and shared a cigar, and that was awesome, because i was the only one who actually knew how to smoke it and how to start it, and bit it off, and it made me feel really cool. hahaha...charlie came up and joined us for the cigar, and that was nice, because he's such a cool guy. he's just so quiet it's hard to really get to know him.

i also learned a lot about wine. as much as i love reds, riesling is really really good, too. i like the sharp sparkle, and the way it feels on my toungue.

and one of the guys who works at the firm played in 2 different jazz bands, who were playing in the "jazz lounge" on the 25th floor. it was great. he built his own upright bass! from scratch! how awesome is that!!

daniela is so successful. she started out working out of the front room of her house with just her one partner. now she has a team of, like, 20 people working under her, one of the best and most famous firms on the east coast for school designs, and THE dopest (to use a totally inappropriate word) office in the whole of philadelphia. 1616 walnut street was the original sun oil building. i don't know if you know anything about architecture, but that's HUGE. that's a legendary building. and it's beautiful!!

*sigh*

i know what i want in life. it's not because of the party or anything. i mean, that definitely sealed the deal, but the people i met there, and all of daniela's work, and everything about last night affirmed it for me that i want to be an architect. i want a private practice. i want to be super successful and to design hundred million dollar projects and shape landscapes. i want to drive through a city in 100 years, and see some college kids studying my buildings and saying "this is the ______ building. it was built by alyssa fischer in the 2020s and is one of the best examples of high rise buildings in the ______ style to date."

i want to go talk to nate about how he got his job working for daniela and how he did his independent study for her and all that. i think that is what i want to do.
