Big Read Meme
Stumbling upon a meme that seemed apt for summer and for a weekend post. Books, books, books!
This is based on The Big Read done by the BBC a few years ago. They figure at The Big Read that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've listed.
Well, I guess I've spent more time shut in a room by myself than the average person, as I've read at least 53 of them. I know I've read more on the list, but I can't remember on some of them. For instance, those Russian writers. I've read some of those, but which were they? Did I read War and Peace, or was it Crime and Punishment, or Anna Karenina? Or all. And then there is Dickens. I don't always remember exactly what I've read versus what I've heard discussed or saw in a movie!! It was all such a long time ago when I plowed through many of these.
