night o' fun!
kelsey and i spent the evening shop hopping. fun. shop-hopping fun.
in the car, i drank a diet coke with lime (don't worry, the story doesn't get more exciting). i don't like diet soda, but kelsey brought it for me, so i did it. and ta-da! it was good.
we went to ulta, the beauty supply MEGASTORE that opened around christmas that i'd never been to before. it's MEGA. we laughed at...something, but i can't remember what, and then i bought an orangey kind of lipgloss. because it was like, a dollar. that's reason enough for me. when i went to pay that dollar, i said, "it's okay - you don't have to wait for me," like she was gonna go get in the car and leave without me. MAN WAS THAT FUNNY AT THE TIME.
at best buy, she (i could start referring to us as thing 1 and thing 2, but...most people can only handle so much stupid) bought a phone clip to wear her phone on her belt. i told her she really ought not to, but...it's a personal choice.
the climax of the journey was TARGET (cue choir singing "Ahhhh!" or something), my former place of employment. now, don't get me wrong, i hated working at target, but i sure do like walkin' around and lookin' at stuff there. we went through the clearance clothing and made fun of stuff, but kelsey found a cute pair of terrycloth lounge-around (or be a college student in) pants. excellent.
and the coup de grace? only the funniest shirt i've ever seen! i keep saying that i'm done with shirts with words on them - "my clothes don't talk anymore" - but then we saw it: a white shirt ---
