Nothing to report.
At least nothing of real interest. My work computer is possessed, probably (as a co-worker pointed out) because of all the devil music I listen to on it. Since coming back after New Year's, I've lost the power supply, the hard drive, and today the network card. The harddrive was only a couple months old.... Sucks getting old, for computers as well as people. Wrenched my shoulder this morning when i had to reach down to re-velcro my sandal strap (yes i wear hippy shoes!). Same damn shoulder that i wrenched a couple weeks ago chasing my teenager down while playing mud football. Same damn shoulder i had rotator cuff surgery on a couple years ago...Now that January is almost over, I'm making a couple of resolutions -
1) be more consistent in getting to the gym. When I was in high school i was running 20 miles a day. I could run 10 miles in just under an hour. Now, if i could run an hour, i might get in 3 miles, maybe 4 with a good tailwind.
2) spend 1 hour every day practicing guitar. just like my physical condition, it gets really depressing seeing how much you've lost. Guitar is slowly coming back. Recent (re-)additions to my repertoire are Yes - Roundabout, and Hendrix - Little Wing. Eventually I'd like to get back to at least 2 hours of accoustic classics.
3) reading... 1 hour a day would be awesome, but that probably won't happen until spring when I'm not so damn tired after i get home from work. I've still got a ton of stuff I need to finish.
