so my last update was almost 2 months ago. i've got a lot of catching up to do. so, here's what's new:
1) my uncle (that was in the hospital), he died.
2) i finished my job at dublin.
3) my family and i went to south carolina to see kellen! it was great. i was really emotional and on edge the whole time, tho. he's doing good. he'd lost about 15 lbs since the last time i had seen him. i don't think he was the same person that we sent off to bootcamp. he seemed a little more sincere. now he's in virginia at ait training. he has the opportunity to call us often..that doesn't necessarily mean he takes it. apparently, he's not as sincere as i'd thought. i think he's doing well. i can't wait to see him in december!
4) i've changed jobs. i now work at parisian's in decatur mall. i love it. i get paid to organize and shop...if that's not heavenly, then i don't know what is.
5) since i've changed jobs i'm in a waiting period until my insurance kicks in...i'd decided not to buy my own health insurance separately for the next few months, because i thought surely i could make it 3 months without needing a doctor. AAAAK--WRONG. on sunday i developed a bladder infection. i tried taking over-the-counter medicines to make it go away. that didn't help. by thursday i was hurting so bad i couldn't stand up. i, then, went to the health dept. (because i have no health insurance) to get a prescription (that story deserves a whole separate update!!). once my prescription finally kicked in, i finally started feeling a little relief by friday afternoon. by friday night i felt like that medicine had kicked me right behind the ribs. my right side underneath my ribs was killing me. i tried to sleep it off but that didn't work. so, today mom and i went to the emergency room and after a couple hours we came out with a diagnosis of a bladder and a kidney infection. good just what i needed. for the first time in my whole life i don't have health insurance, and i end up going to the doctor, AND the er (plus, i have to go back to the doctor in 2-3 days). pretty soon, i'm gonna be up to my armpits in doctor bills. the lesson for the day, kids: ALWAYS HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!! ---but i did get a hospital bracelet out of it!---
6) i have the most AMAZING boyfriend in the world!
7) i rearranged the furniture in my den. it definitely makes the apartment look bigger.
