Soooo...yesterday was the big day! I must say, the party was a big success in my eyes. Thank you to everyone who showed up (and/or bought me presents!): Nate, Brian, Heather, Shari, Kendra, Inna, James, Laura (and Michael), Marcy, Celsius, Pam, SARS, Sarah, Lundy, Keshet, Jen (and her friend Matt??? I'm a loser. I really liked him and now I forgot his name!) And of course, Byron. <3 He did very well on amazing boyfriend duty, making sure I didn't get too wild, acting as dinner $ collector, and being especially sweet and loveable above and beyond his usual self. Jen being able to come was due to his initiative, and even if I wasn't surprised in the end, I was so grateful he tried to make sure all of my friends were there. He gets brownie points for calling Shannon, too. Aaaand....we're going to Stratford! I'm so excited- it's like having a whole extra birthday to look forward to.
Sorry about that. I think I'm fairly safe in assuming that hardly anyone reads this, and so it is safe to at least occasionally gush out all the accumulated girly happiness. But now what everyone is dying to hear about- the alcohol! I had about half of a tall pink drink- I think it's called a Raspberry Rufus or something. I really wanted to try a Shady Lady, but this one was ordered for me, so I did my duty. And then I had a shot called a Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. OMG...it was soooo good- like the best milkshake I'd ever had, only 10 times as strong. I could drink a lot of those and be in very big trouble. But...I only had one, so all is good. I did not get the slightest bit drunk, and people had to head home to do homework, so there was no dancing. But it was still very fun. Hurray! This birthday definitely qualifies as one of my best.
Anyway, now I have to rejoin the real world and keep up with school stuff. Especially since I am going home this weekend to "celebrate" with the family. Meaning, even though I've tried so hard to keep up, and so far been successful, it all comes to an end. I am not looking forward to that at all.
