The cyst returns
If you didn't read my previous post, I have a pilonidal cyst on my tailbone. About a month ago it got infected and I had it lanced (drained) and all that super fun stuff. The bump felt like it was gone. Weeeelll...its come back. I went back to the surgical clinic this morning; thankfully the doctor said its not infected again but its about an inch big so I'm just gonna get it removed. The scheduling people have to call me but we want to do it later this week or as late as next week. School starts in 2 1/2 weeks so I want to get it done as soon as possible so that it doesn't hurt as much by the time I have class.
The surgeon - I saw her 2 weeks ago when I went for a follow up and I really like her - said she'll do her best to make it so we don't have to pack the wound but the incision is going to be deep in order to excise it all so I may have to. Blahhh. Buuuut I would prefer packing it over getting another needle poke in an abscess.
I have two pillow pets - a unicorn and a turtle (I want a panda) and I will be sitting on those. Who knew pillow pets were so useful??
