Create a scifi show scifiland challenge
For scifiland I had to create a a spin-off to an existing TV-Show or create a completely new show. Ages ago I wrote a Children of the Future series fanfic for Farscape and my show is based on that.
Plot synopsis:
John and Aeryn, Chiana and D’Argo, and Zhaan and Stark all had kids - it’s a bit AU seeing as certain characters are no longer with us but work with me here. The show is about their children. The children going through the universe having adventures because that’s what you do in Farscape. The treaty is stil in effect - from Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars - so its much safer than when everyone was hunting John and crew.
The kids have met up with Princess Katralla and John’s daughter. There was a conflict on the Royal Planet, Katralla and Tyno had to be unfrozen early and their daughter was born. A war broke out when she was young and the child was taking off the planet for her safety. Her escort found Moya and John and gave him the kid so she grew up with Little D’Argo and the rest of the kids.
The Children have their own adventures like their parents but with less death and shooting.
D’Argo Sun-Crichton (22 - played by Logan Lerman), or Little D or DC as he’s called to keep from getting confused with D’Argo, is the first of the children born of the Moya crew. Little D has dark hair and eyes like his mother and has his father’s charm and good looks. Like John, Little D has great sarcasm and is a good diplomat. He can talk his way out of trouble better than anyone and his smile can get him out of hot water with Aeryn - who curses his father for giving their son that trait. Little D was trained in peacekeeper combat skills by Aeryn and spars with Gelana for fun while teaching his half sister, Katrina, what he knows expanding upon the fighting skills Aeryn also taught her.
Gelana (21 - played by Taylor Sprietler) is Chiana and D’Argo’s oldest daughter. Being a Nebari/Luxan mix, Gelana has light grey skin and tentacles that come off her of chin. Her features are more Nebari than Luxan, the tenticals are the easiest way to tell she’s part Luxan.. She is cat-like in her movements like Chiana and good in battle like D’Argo - both her parents taught her well. Chiana taught her all she knew about hiding and stealing things and Gelana practices every chance she gets - and gets away with it, too. Gelana was born a year after Little D and they get into trouble together and they get out of trouble together.
Centrina Katralla Crichton (19 - played by Dakota Fanning) called Kat by her friends and family (a nickname started by John) is the daughter of John Crichton and Princess Katralla. She was born when Katralla and Tyno were unfrozen early due to an uprising on the royal planet that led to the death of the Empress. All was well for a while but a war broke out and Katralla was killed. Tyno sent Kat away with an escort when she was 5 to find John Crichton so that he could take care of his daughter. Kat has blonde hair. She was received well by not only John but Aeryn and Little D as well. Aeryn raised her along with Little D and trained her in different styles of fighting as she did with Little D. Kat is shorter than average but makes up for it with her attitude, ability to make friends easily, and self-defense skills if she needs them.
Delaynie Sun-Crichton (17 - played by Shailene Woodley) is the youngest of the group. She has light colored hair and has a personality like her mother’s. Delaynie, or Laynie as some call her, is amazing at “tech work”. She was helping fix things around Moya since she was 7 and she learned about the Prowler, Farscape One, and transport pods and how to fix them by the time she was 10. Laynie is a math wiz and works with John on various physics equations. She, too, has been trained in hand-to-hand combat and self-defense techniques. Laynie is the geek of the group as her brother likes to remind her but she likes having that title.
Luz Zhaan (21 - played by Michael Cera) is Pa’u Zotoh Zhaan and Stark’s son. He was born few months after Gelana. His skin is blue as he is part Delvian and he has psychic abilities due to his Stykera half. Luz has started on the Delvian Seek with the help of his mother. He spends a lot of time helping others, knowing no anger, and praying and worshiping the Goddess. Stark has helped him hone his psychic abilities and he is very adept at picking up on the feelings and moods of others. He is the peacemaker of the group and usually ends with arguments between Little D and Kat.
