I know, three posts, one night, equals too much. But I just had another thought. I wonder how many people in high school are still friends in college, like actually. Some of my roommates are upstairs and are hanging out with a bunch of people from their high school and three of my roommates are all from Arlington. But honestly, I'm really not friends with anyone from high school anymore. I mean, I talk to them randomly, but overall, I really don't see them. Even the high school people I hung out with last year I rarely see or talk to (aka the college family). It's not like I didn't want to stay friends, in fact, at the end of high school, I wanted to stay friends with all the people I was close to in high school. But now...I just realized that the majority of my friends in high school, the ones I really hold close to me and tell them things that are important, are people who really care about me and are the best friends I've ever had. I've talked about this before, so I'm not going to go on and on, but I'm just saying, it's interesting that I'm not connected really at all with high school people. Many of my friends are still close with at least a couple people from high school. Some of my roommates have mentioned how they feel a lot more distant or different from their friends from high school, which is funny, just cause to a certain extent, I remember that happening last year to me. Maybe it's just a freshman thing when that happens. I was thinking that they are just getting sick of hanging out with all their high school friends, but when I thought about it, I really only started moving apart from LW people during winter quarter. Just interesting to think about.
