Snow Day and Brother Update
Well it snowed today in Albuquerque, not a good thing. While I love the snow, people in this town don't have a freaking clue how to drive in it. We just don't get snow in town that often and we also have a lot of transplants from states that never get snow. Needless to say driving can be let's say interesting. Driving down 528 was really not fun, big snowpacked, unsanded, somewhat steep hill. Stupid drivers that don't know to put car in first gear, and two huge semis in the way. Of course the Rio Russia police decide to close 528 out of Rio Russia after I make the harrowing trip down the big hill. APD was a little more on the ball the closed said road until the sand truck came. Anyway made it home safe and sound. I had no troubles, just a few little slides until I put the truck in four wheel drive. Just don't trust the other drivers.
For those interested in a brother update. He called Thanksgiving night. He has a platoon and will be in some little town north of Baghdad. We've never heard of this place and aren't even sure how to spell it. He's supposed to call again with his address so we can send him goodies and needed stuff. I guess it's a good sign we haven't heard of the place he's going, means it's not a "hot spot", which is good, not a lot of fighting going on there.
Also I think I have the flu, been achey, feverish off and on, generally not wanting any food since Friday. Been taking Nyquil but doesn't seem to help a whole lot.
