Bid Day
Yesterday was crazy. seeing 1000 girls standing on a lawn all scared to death because of the fate that rested in our hands within a lil envelope behind each girls backs. then the count down... 3, 2, 1.... RIP!!!!! everygirl runs a totally different way and heres little me trying to find where the sororities name was on the paper. i was so nervous it was like i couldnt read. as soon as i saw it i took off. run, run, run, but couldnt find the pink shirts! finally i see them across the lawn and sprint. it seriously reminded me of a movie seeing so many girls take off so fast. we went back to the house got our cute bags that read "alpha delta pi" and cute purple shirts that say " star light, star bright, i got the wish i wished last night". the back of the shirt also says ADPI Bid Day 2005; they are so super cute. they took us mini golfing and got pizza and ice cream in jeffereson city but we had to be back in the dorms by 10. Laura (my pi pal) dropped me off and i went to a DG party with my cute neighbor kari (who is now a kappa delta) and my other neightbor Megan (who is also a Kappa Delta) Matt and Luke showed up there and i got to meet some of the guys in their frat. the party reminded me of that party in old school. no joke prolly 300 people there and everyone was beautiful and wasted. it was crazy. i left with matt and luke at 1:00 and went to Lukes friends house just a couple blocks down. we left there at like 2:15 and dropped matt off at his dorm and luke walked me upstairs. shannon had just gotten back from the bars with her sorority and was having a snack up in her bed so we all went and sat on her bed and chatted. shannon and i decided luke didnt need to be walking across campus at 3 in the morning a lil tipsy and that he had to stay. so i had my first shaker of the year, luke miller. it actually was kinda funny because he would catch himself in the middle of the night cuddling and stop. haha by the way for those of you who dont know, luke is my summer welcome leader who ive had a slight crush on all summer. i know i said i didnt want to get involved with anyone but he has helped both shannon and i out alot since we have been down here and kept me sain through recruitment. its nothing serious but maybe who knows. hehe.
This morning i had my first meeting with my sorority at 10 where we had to sign some contracts and went through a small ceremony. i really like all the gils in my pledge class. there are 63 pledges. tonght we have a meeting at 5:30 to see everyone in our group and find out which houses everyone got in. then my house is taking me out tonight to party!!! hopefully luke comes ;)ttyl!!!
