My poem for the National Poetry Writing Month challenge today is a neighborhood poem, based on the prompt at Wild Violet: NAPOWRIMO 2020 - Prompt 15. By request of KFP, I'm dedicating this poem to his favorite Minecraft Youtuber, Stampy Longnose.

Stampy's World
Blocky landscape of primary
blue, kelly green, chocolate
brown. A place
to explore, to build
behemoth sculptures,
fantastic games,
intricate buildings full
of sound and color.
You can bounce
as high as sky, tame wolves
and ocelots, ride
minecarts off cliffs
and tell the tale. What
a place to visit, this
imaginary refuge. Oh, to live
in this lovely world.
