Postlude

On Monday after Otakon, we slept in a little longer than we'd been able to the rest of the weekend. Then we made our way downstairs for a leisurely breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We both got the breakfast buffet, although I restrained myself. (I'd eaten a lot that weekend.)

As we were enjoying our second cup of coffee, after eating, our friends ( Read more... )

I'd like to say I love reading your stories Alyce. You paint the pictures and describe things very well, and it's a joy to read. You would've enjoyed the LARP this year, and I can tell you what ALOS was based on, in terms of where I believe the March Hare got his inspiration a bit from. The Dormouse ALSO is a blast, always has good stories, and is one of the two people I blame for my LARP obsession. (The other took the foundation the Dormouse made, and RAN with it. It's all their faults! Both of them! Dormouse and Jason Marin!)

Needless to say, the Dormouse has become a good friend over the years, and he's seen me grow up in the LARP--I've spent a decade in it. *blush*

I'm sure Una was glad to see you. I got home Sunday after our own postcon festivities with my group of friends, and a house guest who was staying overnight so I could take her to BWI the next day, and Kirby was VERY glad to see me. He actually jumped up on me, which he doesn't really DO.

I'm glad you enjoy reading these entries. Believe it or not, for many years I wrote exactly this same sort of journal entry, just for myself (though always trying to explain things fully enough so that future readers might understand). I've got a box full of journals in my basement.

Yes, Una was very glad to see me. So was our kitty, Luke, although he played it cool at first.

I believe it. You have the mark of a practiced writer from what I can tell. (Admittedly, I'm an amateur...)

And you know the truth behind cats and dogs right? Dog's are "God's" (insert deity of choice) proof that S/he loves us and always lets us know, and Cats are proof S/he loves us but without it being so obvious.

Hmm. I asked my cat, and he said he is a god. So there you go.

Thanks, again, for the compliments!

*nods* Ancient Egyptians definitely revered cats, as well as their cat Goddess Bastet..I am not surprised.

*Sends ear-scritches and pettings to Luke as well as Una*
