Flying into Scotland was like nothing I've ever seen. All these three story pointy houses lined up in a row. It reminded me of the song from the Weeds starting credits. They looked like little doll houses, and, there were just so many of them.
The international DMF 10 year reunion trivia event - Eurovision style, awaited me. I didn't need to worry about finding my friends as I got off the bus, Nicci had already spotted me in my rainbow cardi (A present from Marta from Camden market, a few years back). She cried! Amanda, Luke, Leigh and Sarah were awaiting me in a pub. Luckily I was travelling light enough to hang out in a pub.
My travels are usually solo, but not this time. This trip was an epic European catch up from start to finish. Even the conference was non stop socialising, but I will get to that.
It was amazing to be received by a group of friends. Especially ones that I had missed! We had an apartment for a few days and didn't really leave ;). The first morning was when the party and the skype trivia session began (which we won, despite cross-continent disadvantage!). It was SO much fun. People would come up to the camera and say hello throughout the night.
I love Scotland. The sun here is beautiful. I didn't realise how much sun this place gets, and I *love* sun. I have seen some mountains off in the distance and they look really pretty. I'm jealous of the others who have gone off to see the highlands
Goodbye Scotland, hello gravy train.
