*sigh* Lots to tell, lots to tell....
First of all, we've had a couple of advance shows for When Harry Met Sally, even though we don't technically open for another six days.
Let me just say that even though we've been rehearsing for what feels like forever, I was so nervous to be up there the first night! I've never done professional theatre, and it's so different from doing TV or movies. With taped things, you can redo a scene if you need to, so there's not nearly as much pressure. However, when you're up on that stage and you flub a line, you'd better figure out how to fix it because there's no going back.
Why am I mentioning that? Because it happened to me. Yes, I screwed up, right at the beginning of the play. Did the audience notice? I hope not! It was nothing major, and we were back on track in no time, but it was still more nerve-wracking than anything has a right to be.
Of course, there was the scene, and that went well. I think. I hope. We had intermission right after that, and I was so glad to be able to get off the stage and have a few minutes to myself to breathe.
After the play, I headed out and got mobbed by fans, which was actually kind of neat. I've never quite had that experience before, so I signed autographs and took pictures with those who asked. I know some people are bothered by that kind of thing, but I was totally flattered.
((all actual information about the performance gotten from
here))
Oh, and before I forget... you all better be planning on watching That 70s Show for the next couple of weeks! I'm guest-starring as a fellow police academy student of Kelso's. It's a good time. *smiles* And before you ask, we filmed these a couple of months ago, before I headed over to London. But then again, you guys probably knew that.
I miss and love you all, especially my Scooby siblings!
