part of the eulogy my cousin said:

Dorothy Christina Florence Love

Mum, Nanna, Grandma, Dorrie was born on 19th February 1910 at Cooma.
She was the first born to Francis William and Florence Jane Smith, her father was a railway worker. There was a family of eight children, Dorothy, Frank, Juel, Ida, Elva, Jean, Joyce and Pearl. The family lived at Chakola and then moved to Cooma. She spent her schooling years following her fathers work at the railway, she went to school at Cooma, Temora, Nimmitabel and Chakola. She left school at the early age of fourteen; she worked in various places as a housemaid. Nanna was always a keen tennis player and played till about the age of 72. She married Clarence Hope Love known as Don on the 8th of February 1930; the reception was held at the Drill hall Cooma where they danced to music played by her father on the piano accordian and her sister in-law Dorrie Ross on the piano. They went to live at Sunny Corner where Beryl and Colin were born; they lived there before moving to Cooma where Rodney, Dawn, Marilyn and Kerry were born.
The children all went to St Patrick’s school in Cooma, They lived a happy life until Don died at the age of 66, he was one of the Monaro’s best cricketers.
Nanna managed living by herself until she was 89 years of age, when she moved into Yallambie Lodge on 1/2/99 until august 2005 when she sadly needed more intensive care and moved into Sir William Hudson nursing home where they gave her plenty of love and care which we are very grateful.
She was the oldest member of the CWA in which she was presented with a medal for her services. Nanna was a great mother and grandmother to all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nursing home for all the attentive care and kindness they have showed to our mother and grandmother.
We all love her and hope she is at peace in her new resting-place with Dad and grandfather.
Nanna I will now have to find someone else to be able to make me those nice Trifles that I would ride miles on my bike to get.
