Oh, what a night. It was quite interesting. But boy was it fun!
I got to see Jessica again. Wahoo! She's such a great person and it's soo nice to know that not all of my non-BYU friends are screwing up their lives. It's so weird that I have friends like her and Joy who are way strong in their beliefs and uphold standards at least equal to mine and yet I have other friends who should... and yet, don't. It's sad actually. But I really appreciate those who do.
Ya know, I've really learned a lot these past two weeks even though it feels like I've done nothing.
~Even though most people are doomed to follow in the footsteps of their parents, it can be overcome. Don't judge someone just based upon their family.
~Some people never change.
~Never underestimate the power of a cute face. (I knew they sent 19 year-olds out as missionaries for a reason)
~Sometimes you are making a bigger impact on someone's life than you ever necessarily intended. Make sure it's a good one.
~Southern accents are sooo adorable! I'm gonna have to marry a southerner...
~RMs... WoW! No more need be said.
~2 weeks at home is the perfect amount of time.
~I really admire those who are strong in their beliefs even if those beliefs are not identical to my own.
~Even though certain experiences are painful beyond belief, when you look back on them you realize that without that experience, you would not be the person you are today. One experience in particular was so miserable that I never thought I would never truly overcome it. But now I have and I look back and realize that it was only the beginning of a long process which has entirely changed the person I am today... for the better.
Well... now it's REalLY late and my brain has ceased to function.
Happy New Year to all. Make it one without regret.
I love you!
