life's a bitch, and then you die...xxunclestevexxApril 21 2005, 05:04:53 UTC
you said the pope needs to die, perhaps homosexuality isn't a sin in your eyes, but i'm pretty sure that is.
you can't condemn the highest leader of the catholic church because he follows what the book of God says.
of course you could always use the defense that it's in the interpretation of the reader, but i think it's pretty much clear cut, "Marriage should be adam and eve, not adam and steve" (i apologize for using such a cliche line)
if i can be 100% honest with you, there's hundreds of messed up things i could bring up about organized religion, but i'll choose to have that conversation with you at a further date. (if wanted)
i personally don't believe there's a magic man in the sky that allows you into place filled with clouds and happy things, nor do i believe in an evil power that sucks you into the abyss which is hell for eternal damnation.
however, i do believe in the concept of the basic good and evil in people, and religion is a guideline that sets what good and evil should consist of.
religion is kind of like insurance, you can't be sure it's going to be needed, but there's always that fear that forces you into it... i'm driving without a license and no insurance (none of that is true)
i don't know where i was going with this, i'm really tired and none of this probably made any sense... sorry for the babble.
