How Liberal Or Conservative Are You?

So, I pulled a very small funny prank a couple of days ago. On Friday we recieved some chocolates and thank you cards from members of the church that hold service here at the theater.

Like 2 hours later a staff lead comes in the office and asks about the chocolate. Immediately I tell her I got it for Steve (my GM) because it's his birthday and those are his favorite. She believes me of course because not one person knows when Steve's bday is. He really doesn't want people to know so they won't do anything for him. I told her I overheard him and his wife talking about today being his birthday the other day on the phone. I know, it's weird. Especially considering how much his wife does for us on our birthdays. So the staff lead is running around telling everyone it's Steve's birthday getting them excited. Steve of course just goes along with everything because we have a habbit of trying to trick people with almost everything we can. Art, another manager comes up to Steve and I and makes some comment about me "having brown stuff on my nose". That's all it took. I was going to show steve just who the suck up is. Art comes up to me and asks about the chocolate in the ofice, and I tell him I got it for steve. He was like, "ohhh....That makes sense..I was wondering why there was random good chocolate in the office for people" to which i replied, "Yeah, I found out today was his birthday so I was going to just buy him dinner tonite but thought that's been done, so I remembered he really liked this certain chocolate from that Lindt store and got him this stuff. Thought it would be cool since his wife is always baking and cooking for us." I chose my words very carefully, because 10 minutes later while Steve and I are writting down what we want from Macdonalds Art comes up and says, "hey Steve, I got this, (pulling out his wallet) it's your birthday,.." steve is all like "ohh, you dont have to do that" and art replies, "no, i want to, your wife is always doing stuff for us, I got this." and to make it better steve immediately came back with, "ok, in that case I'm getting a Sundae as well" and adds that to his list.

So yeah, I got my boss free dinner by outsmarting another manager and managed to show him what a suck up really looks like. I mean, Art even copied and pasted my words about how nice his wife is on our birthdays and just used them. That was great, especially when Steve added the dessert. As far as I know Art still doesn't know.

Yeah, sadly, that was the funniest part of my Friday night at work.
