Concert recap
The concert was alot of fun. I ended up going alone but found some fast friends in the pit at the end. The opening band was local, not the greatest. Second on stage was The Veer Union. I really liked them. They did very well and got the crowd into it. I was sitting when they came on and by the end I was on my feet.
I was down on the floor for the third band and really let down by Hurt. I'm not sure if it was how they looked or what but when I first saw them all my energy just left. They put on a show that I could say was lacking in every way. So people really liked them and I have no idea why. I was cheering when they got off stage.
When Sick Puppies got on stage I was ready to see them. And they didn't let me down! I was on singing along to every song and moving with the crowd. To me it felt almost like the Korn concert when Liz and I fought our way to the front. Less people but same energy. I did have to leave the floor twice though. A pit opened up to my left and while I wasn't in it I was near enough that I got hit a few times. One drunk girl decided to get in the middle of it and was taken out and ran over by a 6 foot 4, 300lb guy. I ran in a pushed him off of her and help to make some room for her to get up. But she wasn't able to walk on her own power so this other guy and I carried her out. After I got her out and security got to her I went back to the floor. I wasn't there 5 minutes when someone in the pit found her shoe. So I ended up taking the shoe out to her.
All in all a good concert. Looking forward to going to more soon.
