Yes. In my world, they're quite common, and many of them are malicious. If I spend all my time cooking and cleaning, how am I supposed to be able to kill a demon?

Couldn't you just try and tame 'em or something? Suppose you wouldn't be able to. 'Though if it's like that dunno why everyone doesn't know basics or something of the sort.

Many of them would kill you before being tamed. Others would laugh at you for trying.

Like I said, tradeoffs. Most don't bother settlements, anyway. It's when they do that they become issues.
