Appearance:
the brunette here,
and here Toris tends to wear clothes that are comfortable but never sloppy. His taste is slightly feminine and as he is used to the cold, he has a lot of long-sleeved shirts, scarves, pants, jackets, and sweaters.
Personality: Toris, upon first glance, is a generally nice person. He cares more about other people than himself and is willing to work hard for people whether it's because they need it or because they're making him. He really is a hard worker, and hasn't ever really had a break between being dragged around by his best friend and working hard for Ivan. Some of the people he cares most about are his best friend Feliks and his two younger brothers Eduard and Raivis.
He's a very patient individual and in spite of some of what he says, he doesn't mind being dragged around. In fact, being dragged around is one of the only ways he gets out of the house. He's not one to ever do anything for himself because he's always spent so much time working hard for other people.
Although his outward appearance would say that he is a happy individual, he has a dark past that has left many scars (both metaphorical and physical). He tends to be somewhat optimistic about his past though, and hides it easily. When he thinks too much, however, he tends to give himself stomachaches. When he's nervous this shows, and he can easily get shaky and flustered.
History:
Toris grew up as a normal little boy with a best friend who dragged him around, two younger brothers, and two parents who loved him for most of his life. One unfortunate day his parents were killed in a car crash on the way home from a date. Due to Toris's age, he was able to take custody of his two younger brothers but soon discovered it was too much work for one teenager to take on. Between school, the job he took on to pay for his brothers, and taking care of them, he had absolutely no time to spend on anything else. He became too tired to study and very quickly his grades began to drop. When he realized what was happening, he decided it was time to ask for help. Luckily, or unluckily, for him, an older friend of his named Ivan Braginski offered to help, for a price.
He was quick to realize that Ivan was much more trouble than he had bargained for. Although he financed the three of them, and made sure that they remained fed and safe, he made them work very hard for their upkeep. Toris no longer was able to spend time with his best friend, and anytime Ivan had too much to drink, and it was often that Ivan had too much to drink, he was asked for. Ivan would often take out his anger on him, and Toris spent the years with Ivan with bruises and scars. When his classmates and best friend asked what happened he would make up excuses about being clumsy so as not to raise suspicion, and keep his brothers from being taken away from him. (He still has the scars today.)
As he came closer to graduating, Toris began to worry about his brothers being left alone with Ivan. He wasn't sure that they would be safe. Toris had been taking most of the brunt of Ivan's cruelty for so long that he was afraid that without him there they would be treated the way he was. To keep that from happening, after he graduated he stayed home a year to work hard to make money to get Eduard and Raivis a home of their own away from Ivan. In the middle of the night, he moved them out of the home they had lived in all of their lives into the new apartment he had bought them, assuring them that they would be okay, and that he would visit as soon as he could. He returned to his home where Ivan was waiting and explained what he did, but promised that if Ivan let them be, he would stay with him until he left for college, and he would return on holiday breaks to be with him. Toris would do anything to make sure his brothers were safe. Ivan agreed.
Finally, a year later than he should have, Toris left for college with the knowledge that Ivan would be back home waiting for him to return.
