Takimoto Miori to be vocalist for five piece rock band "LAGOON"
On the 2nd, it was announced that actress Takimoto Miori would be serving as the vocalist for the five piece rock band "LAGOON" who is set to debut with the single "Kimi no Matsu Sekai" on November 26th. She will be known as MIORI in the band.
LAGOON was formed by Sony Music Records as a "support project that fulfills the dreams of women". The girls had never met previously as they all work in different fields, but are "girls who want to make music". Through the audition, a cafe clerk, a mother of one, a student, and an EMT was chosen. The vocals being done by actress "M" was a hot topic before Takimoto was announced.
MIORI stated "this is my first time experiencing a rock band. Although I still have a long way to go, I remember how comfortable I felt when I sang in the performance of a live band for the first time. It hasn't been a long time since I met the other members, but I think time doesn't matter. Will be able to strengthen our ties more and more through music."
Regarding their goals, she said "someday, I hope we'll be able to perform at an arena or Tokyo Dome with a lot of people." She also stated that was looking forward to meeting everyong.
Their debut song "Kimi no Matsu Sekai" will be used as the opening theme to for the anime "Magic Kati 1412" that will begin October 4th.
