[Oricon] NEWS get 19th #1 single
NEWS' double a side single "Hikari no Shizuku/Touch", released January 20, sold 148,000~ copies.
This single is their 19th single to hit number 1 since their debut with "Kibou ~Yell~" in May 2004. Among their agency, they're third place with number 1 singles. First place is KinKi Kids with 35 singles and second place is KAT-TUN with 24 singles.
"Hikari no Shizuku" is currently the theme song of the Kato Shigeaki drama "Ksasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa" that Kato wrote the original story for and also appears in. On the other hand "Touch" is serving as the CM song for Nissen where NEWS members appear.
