Sakamoto Ryuichi nominated for a Golden Globe
Sakamoto Ryuichi has been named a candidate for the Golden Globe Awards. Sakamoto, who worked as a composer for "The Revenant", has been named a nominee for the Best Original Score Award alongside collaborator Alva Noto.
"The Revenant" stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hardy. It was directed by "Birdman" director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarittu. It's set for release on December 25, 2015. The film itself has also been nominated in the "Best Motion Picture - Drama" category with star Leonardo Dicaprio nominated for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama" and Inarittu up for "Best Director".
The award ceremony will take place on January 10.
