Matsuzaka Tori, Lily Franky, and Kippei Shiina cast in "Himitsu"
Shimizu Reiko's "Himitsu: THE TOP SECRET" has announced additional cast.
Matsuzaka Tori has been cast as Katsuhiro Suzuki, the childhood friend of Tsuyoshi Maki (Ikuta Toma). Psychiatrist Saito Junichiro will be played by Lily Franky and is an original role for the film. Imai Takashi will be played by Okura Koji. Kippei Shiina will be playing Tsuyuguchi Koichi. Kinami Haruka will be playing Amachi Nanako. Hirayama Yusuke will be playing Deputy General Manager Okabe Yasufumi.
"Himitsu: The Top Secret" is a human drama based on Shimizu Reiko's manga of the same name that received the Japan Media Arts Festival Excellence Award. The premise revolves around the use of a special MRI scanner that can see "images of past memories" from the brain of a deceased person at the National Research Institute of Police Science's Ninth Laboratory. It follows the unfolding truth behind an unsolved, bizarre case.
"Himitsu" will be released August 2016.
