Model Tsuchiya Anna (30) who was meant to star in the Kai Tomoaki (60) penned play, "Chikai ~Kiseki no Singer", is being sued by Kai for 30 million yen for damages. The 4th oral argument was held in the Tokyo District Court on the 15th. The settlement offered by Tsuchiya was refused by Kai.

The 3rd oral argument was held March 3rd and several proceedings were held in private until this recent public court hearing. The settlement offered by Tsuchiya was 2 million yen and was rejected by the plaintiff of the case, Kai. Ito Yoshiro, Kai's lawyer, stated the proposed settlement could not be accepted.

On Tsuchiya's side, her attorney stated that Kai was lacking in consideration and morals for writing the script without consulting the subject of the play. He also insinuated that while the judgement made would be abided by, that the plaintiff wasn't simply seeking damages for the performance discontinuation.

The next trial date is January 26th and witness applications are being prepared. The play in question was based on the life of Hamada Asami who called herself the worst singer in Japan.
