Personas

So today I came to the following conclusions:
1. People are really nosy.
2. People like to be let down.
I swear that I have had the following conversation with people 1,00 times:

Random Person: Hey, I know I haven’t IMed you in 16 months, but I’m gonna just ignore that fact and pretend like we’re best friends, WHAT’S UP?!
Me: Uh…nothing…you?
Random Person: Oh, cool. Yeah, I’m doing nothing, too. Yeah…so…You wanna hangout?
*fifteen minutes later*
Me: Uh…I can’t.
Random Person: Oh…why not?
Me: I’m busy.
Random Person: Oh, with what?
Me: I have to do stuff with my dad.
Random Person: What do you have to do?
Me: He’s in the hospital, gotta go see him.
Random Person: Why?
Me: He might die. He’s in critical condition.
Random Person: That sucks, why don’t we just hangout for an hour then?

Are you people serious? Why do you need to know every detail of my life? You know why people always want to know why you can’t hangout with them? Because they want a reason to not be your friend. They want the conversation to go something like this:

Random Person: Wanna chill dude?
Me: I can’t.
Random Person: Why not?
Me: Honestly? Because I hate you.
Random Person: Oh…:’(

People think they know that you don’t want to hangout with them. I know people think like that, cause I used to. They want proof of your absolute hatred of them. WAKE UP. PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY BUSY SOMETIMES.
Then I realized that people don’t only like to be let down when it comes to people, they always like to be let down. Take professionally played games:

Spectator: GO Diamondbacks!!!!!!
Me: They’re on a 20 game losing streak and they’re down by 15 in the 9th, are you being serious?
Spectator: …Hmm, I think I just like being sad. Really, really sad.
Me: Ah, okay.

They also like to be let down when it comes to school or jobs:

Student: Lemme guess, I got an F.
Teacher: No, actually, you got…
Student: Oh please, just put an F on the paper. I know you hate me and that’s why you grade me terribly. Not because of my lack of or poor quality of work.

People say they like to be happy but they all seem to have a constant nagging sadness. They want a reason to be sad.

Girl: I stepped in mud today…
Me: Uh…and?
Girl: It ruined my day.
Me: Hmm, I see. You know in Africa some people have to step in mud without shoes all the time. They’re also starving.
Girl: Then they should move to America! Gosh, they’re dumb.

I think everyone here needs some Zoloft. I know it’s what keeps me happy
