LJ's
LiveJournal users love to brag. I understand, I’m not the most modest person either. But I noticed something different about LiveJournal users awhile ago, something different than even some of the worst braggarts. THEY TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING THEY DO, EVERYWHERE THEY GO.
Sometimes I want to do one of those psychiatry tests or focus group tests, or whatever they are, on Livejournal users just to see the end result. I think it would look something like this:
The sad part is, people know it’s not interesting. They know it’s dull. Ask any LiveJournal user and the first thing they’ll tell you is how much they hate reading about other people’s day’s and seeing boring pictures. Got pictures? SHOW THEM TO SOMEONE WHO CARES. Wanna whine and moan about how you tripped in fifth period and got a bruise? DO IT ON THE PHONE. I always ask people what LiveJournals they read and they respond that they read the interesting ones. Not the ones that say what happened all day, or the ones that make LiveJournal seem like some sort of oddball popularity contest. Some do a combination of both. Here’s an example:
OMG!!! LollLz! Today BigShowoff , JerkfacedShithead and I went to the mall and guess who we ran into?! SirBrag-A-Lot , Running Out Of User Names and Comment or I'll Kill Myself . We had so much fun! Here's what we did...
What makes you people do this? What the hell is wrong with you? Wanna write about your day? At least put some wit in the post, or humor, or make it have meaning for goodness sakes. Does anyone like to read posts like this?:
Today sucked. Grendel told me she hates me. I really hate her. She's dumb. Mr. Hatwater called me ugly! Haha!
I know I don’t. My God. How can so many people be so goddamned boring??? The sad part is, I know many of you in real life and you aren’t that annoying. You’re truly not that boring. You make these stupid personalities online that make you seem like some no brained idiot. Cut it out. For all of us. Be yourself. Do something different. This may seem slightly hierarchical of me and maybe a little standoffish, but when people have LiveJournals that make them seem like total jerks I stop talking to them in real life. If you want to be a sissy bore, do it at home. Not on an online “journal.” Please.
