Where has the time gone. Wow. It still feels like only yesterday that I was walking the streets of LA and chillin with my awesome roomies in the apt.
But no, it's been over a month since i lived in sunny Cali. And what a busy month its been.
Since LA I have:
~moved into my parents house
~had a blast sharing a room with my sis Hannah
~pretty much went through every single possession of mine and decided what to keep, what to pack and put in storage, what to bring with me, and what to get rid of.
~ graduated college! (well mostly, I have one credit left but I'm taking it correspondence. So I walked in the May grad but won't get my diploma until July.)
~set up my senior art show (if you are in B-town go check it out. Its in the Driskoll Art Gallery in Jester. You can see my films from LAFSC there)
~spent 4 days sharing my boy with my family. It was great fun
~attended Charlotte's
rowan_rose beautiful wedding
~drove to Chicagoland in one day. 9 hours in the car, talking to Clayton via headsets on our cell phones. Yikes!
~moved into an upstairs bedroom of some dear friends who are letting me stay with them until I can find an apartment and roomies here.
~applied to 8 places for a job
~was hired by the second place I applied to right after my interview
~started working at Potbelly's, a cute sandwich shop in downtown Naperville (they have restaurants all over really)
~falling into a fun routine, hanging out with Clayton and his family, going for walks, watching way to much TLC, spending lazy sunday afternoons in the hammock reading books
Yeah, a busy month. Sometimes when I really think about all the changes I get overwhelmed, frightened even. Growing up is a scary thing. But its been amazing, that when I stop and pray and remember that God is right here with me, its like a breath of fresh air. Everything is gonna be just fine if I remember that.
Tonight I'm heading out for sushi with Clayton and his parents in honor of Clay's birthday. Fun fun. So I'll sign off for now, and hopefully it won't be so long until you hear from me again.
