weekly review

So another week has passed here in LA and I've neglected to update you on the many goings on. And as usual, there are many goings on. The trouble, as always, is where to begin.

One thing I love about LAFSC is the amazing video library they have. I am never in want of entertainment. Sitting on my desk right now are Rainman, Psycho, Benny and Joon, and Witness. (The first two have been viewed, the second two have not--well I'm watching Witness as I type so that's that).

But just so you don't think all I do is sit around and watch movies (sometimes I sit around and talk about movies) here is some of what I did this last week:

~went to the beach
~went out for sushi
~saw Spencer and Abigail Breslin shopping at The Grove
~Went to church at Ecclessia Hollywood and The Tribe LA
~researched new internship possibilities (now waiting to hear from Tollin-Robbins and Halcyon)
~Did laundry
~Wrote a paper on a movie that has impacted me spiritually
~Spoke in chapel about what God has taught me through my illness
~Got my first assignment as production designer (gotta pick a color palette)
~Went out to eat at The Cheesecake Factory (chicken tacos chicken tacos chicken tacos)
~painted my toenail
~Watched the first round of MPP films done by my classmates (and as a result watched myself on screen twice!)
~pitched my first story idea for MPP
~ stayed up late giggling with roommates

This weekend I may or may not wind up acting in another classmates film-still waiting to see if she needs me. I'll also spend it writing the script for my own film so I can cast next week. Hoping to hear from the places my resume was sent so I can finally nail down an internship.

For dinner tonight I stopped by the deli next to LAFSC and bought a veggie sandwich and a carrot-strawberry smoothie. I took the sandwich home and transfered it to some gluten free bread. It was fantastic. I love the fact that I live so close to a store where I can buy stuff I can eat: bread, bagels, mac and cheese. Happiness.

This post is loosing cohesion, so I think I'll stop now. Hope all is well for all of you. :)
