trying to hide your emotions but eyes don't lie

Watching last week's Heroes, I don't know why I still watch this show, I really don't. Obviously there's still something that keeps me watching, but damn if I know what it is. Sigh. Once in a fandom, always in it?

I wanna thank everyone who filled out the survey thing from this entry . There's several comments I'd like to make, but I'm not gonna unscreen the comments to reply, since a lot of the stuff was personal. But just know that I read them and thanks!!!

I can't form a solid opinion on this week's Supernatural. I'm glad its back, of course, but once again I think I'm just a little disappointed. The episodes that air when the show comes back from hiatus never seem to impress me. Must be the hype or something. So, this only like...half a review post, but I felt like I should say something.

I don't hold the highest opinion of John Winchester. I never did, for the way he raised his boys. But he was a good father as best he could be, and this episode didn't change my opinion in any way. To get that statement out of the way. I totally understand Dean's jealous reaction to John taking Adam to baseball games and stuff. But John chose to leave Adam out of the life because there was someone for him. Sam and Dean had no one but him; in his eyes, there was no other choice. That I understand.

Sam and his purple toothbrush. lol. I didn't notice at first. And awkward Dean in the morning. I totally understand that feeling. Especially the "awkward morning in the car" morning. Someone(?) said the beginning had a vague seaon 2 feeling to it, and I tend to agree. John's charged phone in the glove box, all the way through till you hear Adam say "I'm his son." And then things go awry.

I was actually expecting Adam to really be John's son. They'd teased too many things for it not to be the most obvious. But seriously? The boys don't need anymore angst, knowing they had a brother out there and that they couldn't save him, either? That once again, they're the ONLY Winchesters alive? Really. Overkill.

You know why I'm disappointed with this episode? NEEDS MOAR BAMF!SAMMY. Plain and simple. I'm just ready for the big finish already.

I don't know what else to say. I don't think Dean's "take that as you want" at the end was actually meant to be a compliment. I don't think Sam becoming just like John is a good thing. I'm glad they finally acknowledged that though, because DUH.

I did love all the little moments of this episode. "Dean, always with the scissors." Sam and Ghoul!Adam's target practice, and Sam's VERY John-like speech to Ghoul!Adam. Didn't catch the Kim Manners tribute till it was pointed out, very sweet and sad.

Lots of little nuances in the episode that make it good, but I'm really just ready for the final showdown, I suppose.

Harper's Island was interesting, too. I do enjoy brunette Katie Cassidy better. And the creepy little "one by one" girl really needs to die already. Creepy children give me the heeby jeebies. I wasn't watching the show close enough though. Kept getting distracted by Travis Fimmel on The Beast. PSH.

I typed this whole entry with 9 fingers and didn't make too many typos, go me! I think my hands have adjusted to having an out-of-commission finger. I went to grab for my razor out of my shower bag thing yesterday and well, found my razor. The top of my pinky finger is a bit of a gnarly mess right now. NOT FUN. I'll spare the details, but it wasn't a pretty experience.

Carnival is tonight, and while it's not as ridiculously exciting to be packed in a parking lot full of fun rides and drunk college students, it's usually a decent time. And hey, RIDES!!! But the best part? Blessed Union of Souls is playing!! Not that many people remember who they are anymore, but they sing one of my favorite songs of all time, Standing at the Edge of the Earth. Have a Lee/Kara themed video with the song . I was hoping to find a Supernatural one, but it seems no one's made one, yet. But the lyrics fit perfectly in a way. *shrug* oooh, there's a Doctor Who one too.

Ah, Heroes is done. Time to finish the last 4 episodes of Leverage. When's season 2 start??

tv: heroes, tv: supernatural, youtube has my soul, spn: in retrospect, tv: leverage, music is life, late nite, tv: harpers island
