oh the madness
the last two weeks have been, without a doubt, the most insane, sleep deprived, stressful, painful, happy, uplifting, absolute best of my life. the youth camp thing i've been working at (EFY) was the best decision i've ever made in my entire life.
1. i broke my foot on the first day playing games with my kids. i'm still in a walking cast, but going strong. i only used my crutches for two days then i said heck no.
2. i had a girl in my first group that was suicidal and tried to bolt from the campus a few times. she's going to be okay.
3. my boys surrounded me on the last night and started singing "l is for the way you look at me."
4. memorable quotes from my boys: "chris, i can't wait until i marry a girl just like you." "gimp, without you, this week would not have been great." "the gimp! the gimp! the gimp is on fire!"
5. my one girl last week started out with the worst attitude ever. by the end, she gave me a huge hug and was running around helping me with everything.
6. my mom is here visiting.
7. i was ridiculously ill at the beginning of the second week. i dropped about seven pounds and only ate half a meal in four days.
8. some boys my second week were completely changed, hearts totally turned to Christ.
