014 // There was a time I was the only one

That was certainly an interesting sojourn.

It was, I must say, refreshing to be a free woman again. No wardens to keep an eye on one's every move, no restrictions, no one checking to make sure one was obeying the law behaving oneself. It was a welcome respite from the life of a prisoner, even if it did come at the price of my memory. Quite strange, that aspect - I was utterly convinced I was...

Well. It was all just pretend, in any case.

[Private to Bela]

Assuming Mr. Stark has requested you be restored, and you are in any shape to receive this: I am glad that whatever place or time I end up in, I can depend on you to keep an eye out for me.

That was quite a brave thing you did, Bela. But in the future, I'll thank you to keep your stunning acts of selfless destruction to a minimum - I do enjoy having my friends in one piece at the end of the day.

[Private to Bruce]

An impressive feat, Dr. Banner. I don't quite know what to make of you, I fear.
[Private to Tony]

You are, I trust, more or less intact?

[Private, to self]

I've been running and tired for so long, I just... forgot. Who I am - or was. I was brilliant, I was stunning.

And now I only feel old.
