Today was very . . . bland. I'm sure there's a better word for it, but my mind isn't quite working at the moment.
School was okay; I was falling asleep the whole day up until lunch. We had a French sub in English and she was very interesting. She told us about her husband's ancestry, which can be traced all the way to the 1600s. She's also related to Celine Dion and Madonna, neither one of which she is very proud of. And she's still very in love with her husband, despite having been married for 50 years. She's also traveled a lot, all over Europe. And she's pretty good at guessing one's ethnicity. It's kind of funny because if she doesn't know she'll practically demand to be told. She told me how to say my name in French (same as in English, as far as I could tell).
The girl in my Spanish who's been giving me trouble has turned into an outright bully. I've never been bullied before and it's not a good feeling. She doesn't have me crying and cowering in terror yet, but she definitely intimidates me.

Some people have all of next week off because of Thanksgiving. I'm very jealous, cuz we still have school Monday through Wednesday. After that we've got two weeks of school left, though.
We're running the Turkey Trot on Tuesday and I'm dreading it beyond description. The Turkey Trot is basically a one and a half-mile run around campus, but it's timed and it definitely counts for a grade. Not only that, but all the classes do it. Last year, the weightlifting class, which is composed mostly of sophomore and junior guys, ran it. I don't know if they will this year, but I'm really hoping they don't. Cuz it's very embarrassing whe you run past them and they get to see how weird you look when running and you're sweaty and so on. If it's just us and the freshmen, it won't be so bad.

Anyway, I was talking to Gabby a couple of days ago and she asked what I listen to, other than Paramore. The subject came up on chatzy again today. So here are a few obsessions and recent interests, musical and otherwise.

Kina Grannis (look her up on youtube)
Disney songs (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty & the Beast, and Anastasia, even though she isn't Disney)
Taylor Swift (Did I mention that I got Fearless last week and that I LOVE it?)
Yael Naim
Coldplay (Their songs get stuck in my head so much)
Belle & Sebastian (I also bought the Juno soundtrack recently)
Katy Rose
Ana Johnsson
I Love Lucy (always and forever)
Audrey Hepburn

And I could've sworn there were more, but I'm blanking out. So there you go for now.

interests, rambling, school
