Anyone who sacrifices themselves for the "sake of others" is just a self serving idiot, not thinking of the people they are leaving behind. If you really want to protect someone, you should find some way to stay alive, and protect them at the same time.

So what? It's still sacrificing yourself, even if it doesn't mean death, and it's still selfish. It's like completely ignoring that the people you think you're protecting. You think that they'd want to see you suffer things, without being able to help?
