[It was cold. Cold and wet and too dark to see much of anything. His headphones were gone, and his hair was matted down by the rain and snow. The buildings around him were half-blown away, and only fragments of them were visible. The sign for the 109 building was hanging by a few twisted metal scraps, but Kiyoshi ignored it, dragging himself through the muck.
He shivered, trying to find someone, anyone, who looked familiar, but all he could see was darkness.
"Stupid... why am I out here all on my own?"
'A king must be strong enough to bear his burdens with only his own strength.'
His head snapped up, eyes narrowing. "Who's there?"
'I only tell you what you already know.' The voice was low, and strange, as if it was being warped somehow. Kiyoshi shrugged and pressed on.
"I'm not alone, anyway. My brother's with me."
'The one who killed you in another life, yes.'
Kiyoshi snorted and continued on. "I trust him."
'Why?'
"... Because I love him."
The voice laughed. 'Your innocence will be your downfall, Abel. Just as it was before.'
Kiyoshi was quiet for a long moment before he spoke again. "... I don't care. I'm doing this for him. That's what family does."]
[Kiyoshi stares at the Dreamberry, and closes his eyes.]
Mm. [He shuts it off quickly, so no one can see his reaction.]
