Oh man

Today was so great. I have no clue why I was in such a great mood today.

I love reading all this science-fiction stuff about the future military on Mars in The Sirens of Titan, and then coming home to see an article about the land rover Opputunity that had just sent it's information of Mars back to here, Earth, which gets all these scientists hyped and talking about living capabilities on Mars.

Listening to great music for only a few minutes before going to school, being around so many people, talking with intellgent people, it's just so great. In keyboard class, my teacher wasn't there (she was playing organ at a funeral in a church), so the other band dude (Mr. Dougherty), let all the music classes roam throughout the building, and me in this kid I've never formally met and I just jammed with the classical guitars in a little sealed off room with Ed, Ed's sister, and two kids I don't know. Him and I discusses the Dandy Warhols and their rival band. We had each seen documentaries about one side of the rivalry, and put our knowledge together. It was really interesting. He also knows about the real Dilletantes, and likes them alot. I never knew they were actually known. Now there are a couple albums I have to pick up.

Stayed after school for an AP meeting, second time this week, and I learned how to professionally photograph artworks and make slides out of them. Not to mention writing "Dear Sergio" lyrics all over the board with a guy actually named Sergio.

I went home, but instead of going home, went into Anthony's house. He's leaving tommorow for 6 days or something like that, with his ROTC crew, because they wrote an essay that one a contest or something. He goes for free, eats shit, and comes back with 2 college credits. That'll turn into lots of pocket money on classes he didn't have to go to in college. So before he leaves, we hung our for a few hours, watched Family Guy, ate chicken pot pie, and went in his room and looked over our whole childhood through all the old artifacts in Anthony's room. IE, pokemon cards, yugioh cards, video games, toys, things like that. We grew up together, and more than half of my life was spent with practically only him. We used to hang out EVERY DAY of our lives before he became a bookworm in school, now all he does is study. It's kinda saddening, but I love hanging out with him so much. I borrowed some old videogames from him before he leaves, so I can desperatly try to connect with my young childhood a little bit in my spare time. Plus, I will always love videogames, as much of a waste of life that they are.

Waking up so early in the morning really sucks ass. I've been getting such little sleep lately, staying up late doing nothing. I just really am not in the mood to sleep sometimes, but then regret it the next day.

albums, friends, school
